Privacy policy

BulbFinder is designed to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains what that means in practice.

No accounts, no stored inputs

There are no user accounts and no login. The finder, the Fix My Bad Bulb tool and any calculators run entirely in your browser. The answers you select are used only to produce your on-screen recommendation — they are not stored, saved to a server, or transmitted to us.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand roughly how many people visit and which pages are popular. It is privacy-first: it does not use cookies and does not collect personal data or track you across sites. We see aggregate figures, not individuals.

Cookies and local storage

We currently set no advertising or tracking cookies. If we store a small preference (such as remembering a future cookie-consent choice), it stays in your browser's local storage on your device. See our cookie policy for detail.

Advertising

We do not currently show ads. If we introduce advertising (for example, Google AdSense) in future, ad-related cookies will only load after you have given consent, and this policy and our cookie policy will be updated to describe them.

Affiliate links

Some "where to buy" links are affiliate links, mainly to Amazon. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you follow such a link, the retailer's own site may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

Third parties

The services that help run this site are: Cloudflare (hosting and privacy-first analytics), Amazon and other retailers (affiliate links), and, if enabled in future, Google (advertising). Each has its own privacy policy.
